Gay Rome

Are you a gay person that's thinking about taking a vacation to Rome, but you're not sure where to start?  Never fear!  I have lots of great suggestions for you!

First of all, you'll of course need a place to stay.  The Rainbow B&B is a lovely, gay friendly bed and breakfast inn.  The Orange Hotel offers stylish and elegant rooms, and they are located only a few blocks away from the Vatican Museum.  There also several other gay friendly hotels in the area for you to choose from. 

Rome has a large number of wonderful restaurants to choose from.  Ristorante Asinocotto is an especially good choice as they offer fresh, local cuisine as well as a fabulous selection of various wines.  As a bonus, the owners of this restaurant are gay, so this is definitely a very gay friendly place to go!  Taverna Edoardo II is a gay restaurant that offers Mediterranean food.  Be sure not to miss the fantastic strip shows that they offer on Friday and Saturday nights!  If you're looking for somewhere to eat that features a young, hip crowd, Ai Tre Scalini is the place to be.  They often have great jazz music playing there.

If you're a gay man that wants to workout and/or relax in a sauna during your vacation, be sure to check out Europa Multiclub.  They also offer a bar and private rooms here.

Looking for some fun night life while in Rome?  If so, you're in luck as there are lots of fun and fabulous bars and clubs to choose from!  Coming Out is a club that is very popular with both gay men and women.  The food and live entertainment here are awesome!  If you're a gay man that's into the whole leather scene, Hangar and Skyline are both great bars that you'll want to check out.  Frequency is a cruising club that offers a naked party on Thursday nights!  Friday nights there are what they call black out nights, as on those nights they keep the club completely dark.  So, that could be interesting.  Also, Il Diavolo Dentro is popular a sex club that offers a bar and play area.  

If you're looking for some new erotic "toys", then Alcova and Studio Know How are both great shops to go to.  The staff at Alcova are especially friendly and helpful.  Libreria Babele is a great little book store that was especially designed for gay people.
