Testimonials

Mr Luc Mintjens / Aureliano
From May-06, 2010 Until May-13, 2010
We can recommend this apartment. The staff Olivia and Barbara are very friendly. We came by car and they arranged for us a garage. There was also bread and some snacks when we arrived. The rooms are clean and there is enough space. Take bus 492 in front of the apartment and you are within 10 minutes in the centre of Rome. There are also some good restaurants near to the apartment. We can recommend il pulcino ballerino.

Mr Ekkel / Aureliano
From Sep-17, 2009 Until Sep-21, 2009
Very much appreciate the hospitality from Barbara. For example: due to late arrival she managed to prepare some groceries which was perfect!

Primavera / Equi 4
From Dec-12, 2009 Until Dec-19, 2009
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment very much. Nice location in a non-touristic area of Rome, close to the bus-stop, supermarkets, bars and several nice places to eat.

Slootjes / Alexandra Holidays

Rome Weather

Rome Weather

Rome, Italy has a pleasant, mild climate all year long. Rome's climate is in between what you would expect from the Mediterranean climate and a temperate climate. It does have seasonal variations, so be prepared for the weather if you travel in the off season.

The peak tourist seasons in Rome are the spring and fall. The weather during these times is exquisite, offering sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. Because the weather is so nice during these times, the city is bustling with tour buses and tourists. If you don't mind crowds, you will be guaranteed a very pleasant stay in the spring and fall. The very best time to visit weather-wise is from mid-September through October. You may end up dealing with a little rain now and then, but the temperatures remain very comfortable. April and May are almost as good as September and October. In October, the scents of autumn fill the air and the changing colors of the trees make it a truly magical experience. The seven hills that surround Rome make for a spectacular setting as the seasons change.

Rome weather in november? Winter begins in November in Italy. Rome is wet and rainy in the winter. The weather can be cold, but in a brisk manner rather than freezing. Even in the winter, gray and gloomy weather is rare. Think of a brisk winter day with the sun shining overhead... if you don't mind bundling up a little bit, you may enjoy Rome in the winter very much without the tourist crowds. A good pair of gloves, a warm scarf and an overcoat will be sufficient. The average high temperature in the winter is about 55 degrees Fahrenheit, though it does freeze occasionally. There are occasional cold winds and heavy rains. The pavement can become very slick, so if you are traveling to Rome during this time of the year, be sure to pack some shoes with good soles that are water resistant. An umbrella is also a good thing to have if you plan on being outdoors. Traveling in Rome close to the holidays can be fun for the entire family. The decorations really light up the city and make the dreary weather more bearable. When booking your winter holiday, always ask the hotel if it has heating in the rooms for your comfort.

Summer can be rather hot and humid. The locals often close up shop in August and head for cooler climates. This can be frustrating for any tourists who choose this time to visit with so much of the city closed. Slowly, more of the city is remaining open during the hot weather in response to tourism. While temperatures may not seem too hot while in the 90s, many places do not supply air conditioning. The stone buildings and roads soak up the heat all day long and continue to radiate it off during the night. This can lead to discomfort since you get no relief. Be sure to ask the hotel you are booking if they offer air conditioning in the rooms.
