Testimonials

Mr Ekkel / Aureliano
From Sep-17, 2009 Until Sep-21, 2009
Very much appreciate the hospitality from Barbara. For example: due to late arrival she managed to prepare some groceries which was perfect!

Primavera / Equi 4
From Dec-12, 2009 Until Dec-19, 2009
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment very much. Nice location in a non-touristic area of Rome, close to the bus-stop, supermarkets, bars and several nice places to eat.

Mr Luc Mintjens / Aureliano
From May-06, 2010 Until May-13, 2010
We can recommend this apartment. The staff Olivia and Barbara are very friendly. We came by car and they arranged for us a garage. There was also bread and some snacks when we arrived. The rooms are clean and there is enough space. Take bus 492 in front of the apartment and you are within 10 minutes in the centre of Rome. There are also some good restaurants near to the apartment. We can recommend il pulcino ballerino.

Slootjes / Alexandra Holidays
From May-24, 2010 Until May-28, 2010
The appartement was big enough for us (4 adults). It was clean, the location was very good and the security its good.

Internet Rome

You don't have to give up internet use while visiting Rome, Italy

Most people who wish to travel abroad don't like the idea of not having internet access. If you are going to be visiting Rome then you can breathe easy, because just like other big cities like New York and London this city in Italy has recently opened up a number of Wi-Fi hotspots that are free. The beautiful city has wonderful access to the internet and you can enjoy staying connected, receive mail and access websites wherever you are.

If you are carrying your own laptop with you, you can sit in the Casina Valadier or the lush green lawns of Piazza di Siena and have internet connection. Like these there are twenty or more locations in Rome's Central Park Villa Borghese where you can access the internet. In the same way, people with portable computers, smart phones/mobile phones, PDA etc that are equipped with the Wi-Fi built-in technology find that it is easy to connect to the internet without having to pay for or subscribe to an internet service.

The services are offered free for the 1st year to anyone who wishes to use this internet access inside Villa Borghese's public park. However, this service may go commercial next year. The Wi-Fi service that was inaugurated in Rome is known as "Wireless Rome" which needs only a registration when you first hook up. As soon as you have a password and username you can navigate the Web just like you did at home. The greatest attraction is the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of the park while messaging and browsing the net.

Though the connections may be a little slow, one is able to navigate and browse any website without any problems and even have discussions/voice communications via Skype with others around the world with fantastic audio quality and clarity just as one did back home. Wireless Rome is growing in other beautiful and public sites in the city of Rome. One can get connected to the Internet at famous locations like The Trevi Fountain, the Campidoglio, the Circo Massimo and others.

This internet Rome service is focused to serve businessmen, tourists and the locals. If you are a tourist and would like to book an accommodation that offers you internet service that is quick and efficient, all you have to do is go online and find the perfect Rome accommodation and hotels with internet access. Once you do that you can compare prices and features and search from a large range of hotels etc in Rome to find one that suits your needs. Most hotels in Rome have internet access and it is easy to find one that suits your pocket and needs.

The project of "Wireless Rome" has been set up by the Municipality of Rome together with the "Distretto dell audiovisivo e dell ‘Ict" which comprises of small and large companies who are interested in the commercialization of services and technologies that are connected to media, telecommunication as well as networking services.

Reliable and widespread internet access is developing in Rome, Italy and access will depend on the location. Urban areas and huge cities all over Italy have broadband while the smaller villages have ISDN access or Dial-up access. There are plenty of Internet service providers other than ADSL Alice (Telecom Italia). There are also internet bars and cafes where it is possible to connect to the Internet.
