Very much appreciate the hospitality from Barbara. For example: due to late arrival she managed to prepare some groceries which was perfect!

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment very much. Nice location in a non-touristic area of Rome, close to the bus-stop, supermarkets, bars and several nice places to eat.

We can recommend this apartment. The staff Olivia and Barbara are very friendly. We came by car and they arranged for us a garage. There was also bread and some snacks when we arrived. The rooms are clean and there is enough space. Take bus 492 in front of the apartment and you are within 10 minutes in the centre of Rome. There are also some good restaurants near to the apartment. We can recommend il pulcino ballerino.

Finding Room in Rome (Or Better Yet, A Holiday Apartment)

Then and now, Rome was and is known for its sights and sounds.  Visitors flock in from all over the world at all times of the year to experience the glory that was Rome, the grandeur of the Eternal City and the greatness of the Roman people, past and present.

In this city of old ancient monuments and grand modern buildings and everything else in between, it is impossible to see all the sights and sounds in just a week, much less a day.  Thus, it is always advisable to book your accommodation in Rome online for its convenience, ease and budget-friendly possibilities.  Plus, a holiday apartment makes for more privacy, more savings on food costs ad more space for everybody.

There are many choices in holiday apartments, too.  You are sure to find one in the many districts of Rome, most of which also offer tourist sights of their own or near the popular hang-outs.

Borgo Pio - Vaticano

At the Borgo Pio district can be found plenty of holiday apartments for rent.  It is also one of the most famous ancient districts in the city where the Basilica of Saint Peter, the largest Christian church in the world, can be found.  Other sights of note include the Castel St. Angelo, the ancient monument that served as a tomb, a fortress, a prison and is today a papal residence; the Via della Conciliazione, which is perfectly straight and other important monuments of ancient Rome.

Selections of holiday apartments in the area range from the one-bedroom types to the more spacious 4-bedrooms.  Costs will be higher depending on the number of rooms although fully-furnished living, dining and kitchen areas are common.

Prati

Situated between the Tevere River and the Vatican City, the Prati also boasts of many holiday apartments.  Most of the buildings where said apartments are located have been built using the Neo-Gothic, Art Deco and medieval styles and, hence, are sights unto themselves.  Although the buildings were first built in the 19th century, the amenities of the holiday apartments are of fairly recent origin.

The Prati district also boasts of many attractions like the Parco Adriano, the Palazzo di Giustizia, the Piazza Cavour and the Teatro Adriano, to name a few.  The city center is within walking distance so there should be no problem of having to negotiate the crazy streets of Rome.

Trastevere

The Trastevere is one Roman district where both local and tourists converge to explore the Eternal City on foot.  You can find ancient churches like the Santa Maria and Santa Cecilia; squares such as the Piazza Trilussa and Piazza S. Pietro; important streets like the Via della Lungara and Via della Lungaretta; and many other entertainments options.  And on Sundays, locals and visitors alike can purchase almost everything from clothes to kitchen utensils, thanks to the street vendors hawking their wares in the impromptu flea market.

For these reasons, the holiday apartments at the Trastevere district are highly valued.  It is to your advantage to book one apartment so as to avoid the rush of people seeking cheap accommodation in Rome in this part of town.
